New Cairo Manufacturers Association is looking into cooperation opportunities with the Electronics Research Institute

The New Cairo Manufacturers Association, headed by Mohamed Owaida, received Dr. Sherine Abdel Qader Muharram, Acting President of the Electronics Research Institute, with the aim of discussing the provision of electronic services and support from the Institute to the manufacturers of New Cairo.
This comes within the framework of ensuring the implementation of the 2030 sustainable development plan and linking scientific research with development priorities in Egypt to serve the industry.
Engineer Mohamed Oweida, head of the New Cairo Manufacturers Association, said that this meeting aims to benefit from the role of the institute, which it offers to the various sectors of the state, being one of the most important integrated and specialized applied research institutes in Egypt in the field of electronics, communications and information technology.
Owaida said that within the framework of the New Cairo Manufacturers Association’s adoption of opening new doors for manufacturers and investors in New Cairo and Kattameya, it was agreed to hold a meeting at the institute’s headquarters next week to benefit from the vision and expertise of the Electronics Research Institute as an entity and members “and to familiarize the manufacturers with all the institute’s specializations and the services it provides to service bodies.” and production.
Dr. Sherine Muharram and her accompanying delegation gave an introductory presentation on the institute and its capabilities, including specialized research departments and central laboratories equipped with the latest equipment and technologies.
She indicated d. Sherine indicated that the institute provides advice to the industrial, production and service sectors, and conducts specialized feasibility studies.
Dr. added. Sherine Abdel Qader said that the institute is translating the sustainable development strategy into well-studied and integrated implementation mechanisms to support scientific research and technological development, stimulate national energies for creativity and innovation, and push the wheel of entrepreneurship to break into the advanced technical fields characteristic of the Fourth Industrial Revolution.
Dr. explained. Sherine Moharram that this introductory meeting with the manufacturers of New Cairo comes within the framework of manufacturing electronic products as well as manufacturing components that are imported from abroad, according to the latest modern scientific systems, in implementation of the mandates of the government and the President of the Republic.
Dr. Sherine expressed her happiness with the actual presence on the ground with her team, appreciating their efforts and their important research role in the industrial zone to learn about manufacturing processes, provide advice and specialized vision, and discuss production engineers and designers in order to offer local alternatives instead of imported ones. She also indicated that Law No. 23 of 2018, which Adopted by the government, it helps to provide incentives in the field of science, technology and innovation, and away from any routine complications, which enables the institute now to work with full freedom and speed that keeps pace with industrial processes.
Engineer Mohamed Oweida, head of the association, confirmed that it was agreed to set a date for the exchange and convergence of views between the two sides again at the headquarters of the institute next week, to inspect the laboratories and research centers at the institute, and to open ways to build cooperation with manufacturers and investors. Industrialists, experts and members of the research body, as well as discussing the appropriate mechanisms for marketing and investing the outputs of scientific research to serve sustainable development and providing practical proposals, in addition to describing and analyzing the current situation and presenting national and international experiences in this regard.
The meeting was attended by Dr. Heba Ahmed Shawky, Acting Head of the Microelectronics Department, Dr. Haitham Hussein Abdullah, Professor in the Microwave Department, and Dr. Ahmed Mansour, at the High Power Electronics Department and Energy Conversion.
